Crane Resort – Barbados
The Crane Resort and Residences is a paradise on the south eastern coast of Barbados. Barbados is a beautiful place to itself but the elegance and class that Crane Resort brings out is second to none. This would be a great place for a romantic weekend or a honeymoon experience. Crane resort overlooks the world-famous Crane Beach which was named “one of the Ten Best Beaches in the word” by Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. The resort was named the 2007 Pillar Award of Tourism. As we overlooked the crystal clear ocean from the hotel it was the perfect calm blue sea. We stayed in the Junior Gardenview Suite that was no way should be considered junior. The room had elegant wood floors with wood furnishings with a separate room with a seating area and a private patio that over looked the gardens of the resort.
Our favorite element was the main pool that over looks the aquarium on one side and on the other the magnificent Crane Beach. The pool is enormous with comfortable lounges surrounding the pool. Unfortunately there wasn’t a hot tub to enjoy in the evening. We did find out in some of the upscale rooms there are private pools and some of them might have a hot tub.
The crane concierge was very helpful and recommended a trip of sunset snorkeling with giant sea turtles. The concierge was also helpful with getting us into town by getting us a cab and recommending restaurants. The Oistin’s fish fry in town gave a great meal but was over hyped a bit I thought. Also for some local cuisine I recommend Brown Sugar it is not fancy but its good local food.
The beach is absolutely gorgeous. The sand has a shade of purple to it that gives it a unique experience. The ocean has a steady set of waves coming in so swimming out is not recommend for the novice swimmer. There is a set of cliffs for the more adventurous to jump off and experience a thrill. There are lifeguards stationed out if you get in a little over your head but of course that experience is not recommended. What was most impressive is that the beach never felt crowed, it gave you that quite romantic feel.
I highly recommend the Crane Resort for a quite romantic experience. If you want to enjoy a peaceful weak this is the place for you. The night life is almost no existence but that is not the reason to fly hear.
